About

I have a PhD and MA degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London. My PhD degree (supervised by Professor Mark Nash and Joanna Greenhill) involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. My core theme was the relationship between art and trauma with a key focus on the historical avant-garde.

For the past 14 years I developed complex partnership networks to include funders, arts establishments, research projects, universities, volunteers and service providers. I curated significant high profile art projects and exhibitions in key art institutions such as Tate Modern and Royal Academy as part of my role as lead artist and curator at Kids Company.

I lead the MA preparation course at Chelsea College of Art and Design (short courses), and I have designed the course curriculum preparing BA students for their MA applications in Fine Art/Fashion and Graphic Design courses.

I am a professional practitioner in the field of fine art, with more than 20 years technical experience and through my academic research I keep abreast of the latest developments in fine art teaching, theory and practice.
